CrissCross is a collaborative assessment process that helps students review and learn from their test performance. Students first complete an assessment individually, after which they are teamed with classmates who had similar results. Teams then work together to revisit the assessment, discuss their reasoning and correct misunderstandings.
During the process, teams may request feedback to help guide their thinking. The team’s final responses are scored and the teacher reviews the results to determine each student’s final grade while identifying areas that may need further instruction.
Â
CrissCross helps teachers meet board policy requiring students to review and interpret assessment results in class while reducing the need for retesting and lowering failure rates.
