STEP 1 - GET A UT EID

1.  Click HERE to begin. 

2. Read the text then click Continue

3. Typically the answers to the Describe Your Relationship with The University of Texas  questions will be "No" for non-UT users.

4. You may complete as much of the Provide Personal Information form as you choose. Your teacher only needs your first name, last name and a valid email address.

Use an email address you check reqularly for information from your teacher and QUEST: assignment updates, help with solutions, website maintenance updates, etc.

If you have previously used a UT EID or have a particularly common name, you may see a message indicating that you might already have an existing EID. Review the information provided and determine whether you need to create a new EID.

5. Complete the Set Up Password Reset Questions. Record your reponses and keep them in a secure location where you can easily access them when needed. 

6. Set Password and Password Hint

Your password must contain:
2 - CAPITAL Letters
2 - Numbers
2 - Special Characters
along with all the other requirements listed.

Remember passwords are case sensitive

7. Record your password and keep it in a secure location where you can easily access it when needed.

Important: To protect account security, QUEST policy prohibits teachers from assisting students with any aspect of their QUEST account, including account creation, login, password recovery, or account management.

8. Review and Confirm Information entered.  If correct - click Create My UT EID.

9. Record your UT EID and keep it in a secure location where you can easily access it when needed.
